Contact PureIRC
For network questions, account problems, technical issues and abuse reports, email:
Use a subject that describes the issue and include your IRC nickname or X account name when relevant. Never send passwords.
Help on IRC
If you can connect to the network, #help is available for help. Ask your question with a little context and leave your client connected while waiting for a reply.
/join #helpFor command syntax, X can answer directly: /msg X HELP.
Connection and technical issues
Include the server hostname, your IRC client and version, whether you are using TLS, and the exact error. A date and time with timezone helps us find the relevant event.
Remove passwords, connection credentials and unrelated private conversations from any logs. The connection troubleshooting answers may resolve the problem first.
Account and channel questions
Include your X account name and the affected nickname or channel. Explain what you tried and what X replied. For channel access decisions, start with that channel’s owner or operators.
If you cannot sign in, email from the address associated with your account if you have one. Do not send a password as proof of ownership.
Reporting abuse
Send reports to contact@pureirc.org. Include the relevant nicknames, channel, date and time with timezone, and a short excerpt showing what happened.
Use email for reports that contain private information. Keep the excerpt limited to the incident and describe any steps you have already taken.
